Cedeno May Have Fractured Hand

Shortstop Ronny Cedeno was hit on the hand by a pitch from Brad Hennessey today and may have broken his hand, reports the Chicago Tribune. "Trainer Mark O'Neal said the X-rays on Cedeno's hand were inconclusive. . . . If the hand is broken, Cedeno will miss the season's final three weeks." That would be too bad, as it would be nice to get a longer look at Cedeno to see what he could do heading into next season.

Baker's Plan To Win

Dusty Baker won't play Matt Murton and Ronny Cedeno because "you've still got to win games too." So what is Baker's idea of a plan to win games? Put a man with a .259 OBA this season, .295 for his career, and .217 since the All-Star break in the leadoff spot in today's game. This has to end.
