A Fitting End

Watching yesterday's debacle of a game, it was painfully (see Ramirez) obvious that we are no better than a .500 team. Wait, on second thought, below .500 team. Cases in point are our 5 total hits (2 of which could have been caught by Andruw Jones), runners on 1 and 3rd and NO OUTS in the 1st resulting in 0 runs, runner on third with 1 out in the 6th (after we used our cleanup hitter to sacrifice the runner because Ramirez was hurt), throwing a ball unwisely to 2nd on a bunt attempt, failing to get to the ball quick enough to prevent the lead run from scoring, and striking out way too much. Yes, it was wishful thinking last week to think we "turned the corner" against the Cards and Astros, but alas, we are who we are, a team that does not consistently hit the ball without it being a homerun, strike out too much, doesn't take walks, has no speed, and is not good defensively.
