Cubs Blog Roundup -- III
A look at some good, recent writing from the Cubs Blog Army:
- Joel C. Boehm at Agony & Ivy reviews Cubs Nation by Gene Wojciechowski: "It’s Wojciechowski’s game by game account of the 2004 season, and it’s well written. We all just wish there would have been a different ending. It was painful to relive those blown games and sideshow theatrics. We’d just as soon forget losing 4 out 5 down the stretch in September, and Sosa skipping out early, and the fallout of Steve Stone & Chip Caray. My argument concerning the book, however, is that in the end Wojciechowski could have done something to alleviate some of that pain by answering a simple question: Why bother? Why spend so much time following this team? Was it worth it?" Despite the criticism of Wojciechowski's detachment, Boehm's review makes me want to pick the book up.
- 1060west says you're crazy if you think that Sean Marshall should be ahead of Jerome Williams in the starting rotation. Derek Smart at Cub Town is less certain, but has cold feet.
- Back to Boehm at Agony & Ivy. He has a good rant against the naming of the Wrigley Field bleachers as the "Bud Light Bleachers."
- And back to 1060west. If Ronny Cedeno fails this year, 1060west will be able to tell you it told you so.

An Update
I missed this one: Scott Lange has an excellent season preview up at Baseball Think Factory. (Hat tip: Northside Lounge.)
