Dopirak Breaks Foot

The West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx have placed first baseman Brian Dopirak on the disabled list with a broken foot. He suffered the injury while rounding second base on opening day. He will be out at least six weeks.

Hopefully the injury will not affect his swing when he returns. Dopirak hit well in spring training, looking for a rebound season after a disappointing 2005 at high-A Daytona in which he had a 670 OPS. In 2004, at low-A Lansing, Dopirak dominated the Midwest League with a 956 OPS.
