Hill and Aardsma mow 'em down; & Harvey hits
his 3rd homer of the year.
Iowa won 3-1. Rich Hill was brilliant, allowing just 1 run in 7 innings, striking out 10 while allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk. David Aardsma pitched two perfect innings for the save, and now has opened the year with 7 shutout innings. Felix Pie hit 2 doubles and walked once.
West Tenn lost 2-1. Micah Hoffpauir hit his second homer of the year. Juan Mateo allowed 2 runs in 5 innings.
Daytona won 10-4. Ryan Harvey (3rd of the year) and Jake Fox (1st) each homered. First baseman Matt Craig has gotten off to a slow start, 4-for-33 without an extra base hit.
Peoria lost 2-1. Mitch Atkins did not allow a run in 5 innings, striking out 6 and walking just 1. Centerfielder Davy Gregg had 3 of Peoria's 5 hits, including a double.
