View from the Bleachers Interviews Brooks Kieschnick

View from the Bleachers has posted an interview with Brooks Kieschnick. On whether the Cubs gave him a sufficient chance to succeed as an outfielder, Kieschnick says, "If 70 ABs in a row was a chance then I guess I did not meet my potential. In my eyes I think they gave up on me to early. I would have loved to get 500 ABs in one season to see what I could have done with that."

Kieschnick hit .200/.294/.356 in 102 plate appearances for the Cubs in 1997. He was the Cubs' 1st round draft pick in 1993 out of the University of Texas. Last year, he posted an 110+ ERA in 43 innings for Milwaukee and hit .270/.324/.365 in 68 plate appearances.

Likeable

Kieschnick comes across as very likable in the interview. The interview was also well done by Joe Aiello.
