The Chicago Cubs have demoted Jerome Williams after Friday's poor performance and promoted Angel Guzman, who also had a poor performance in his last outing for Iowa (and the one before that).

In three starts for Iowa, Guzman has a 6.61 ERA in 16.1 innings. However, he does have 23 K's against just 3 walks. The problem has been 4 home runs allowed.

This has been a long road to the majors for Guzman. He is in line to start Wednesday's game at home against the Florida Marlins, if he is not needed in long relief before then.
