Back to CubsNet

With this post, I am renewing my blog here on CubsNet. In a way, it seems that nothing has changed here during my absence. When I first started here in April of last year, there were hardly any other bloggers here other than the author of the cubsnet blog. Now, in May 2006, he seems to be the only really active blogger.

This is strange since CubsNet offers those of us who are interested in the Cubs a chance to blog with a regular audience right from the get go. Its pretty difficult to gain an audience in a decent time period if you are starting a new weblog on something like say Blogger.com or its imitators. This is especially true if you are not able to post everyday. Some time ago, the Washington Post ran an article that said that in order to attract a decent audience, a blogger needs to post at least 3 times a day. Needless to say, that's a pretty tall order for most folks, especially if you put in a lot of thought and do rewrites before you finally post something.

Well, its off to the races. See you around guys & gals.

RE: CubsNet

Charles, nice to see you post again. Yes, I would like to have a more active community of bloggers. So far, it hasn't worked out that way. But I still enjoy writing and discussing the Cubs, and am appreciative of those who do read the site.

Thanks!

Thank you. Hopefully, I can blog more often than I did last year and come up with consistently interesting stuff as well.
