In today's paper, his source is an unnamed "major-league source," who "indicated Sunday that Baker still could receive a contract extension during the season." In other words, Kiley's source today is not a Cubs official. What would a major league source know about the Cubs' intentions? The article, unfortunately, does not say. Additionally, how is it news that Baker could receive an extension? That's true up until the time that he does not receive an extension.
