Paid Attendence: 41,526
The Cubs have now lost 20 of their last 24. They simply can't beat anybody - this team promises to lose 95 games this season. Paid Attendence today to see the worst team in baseball?
- 41,526
That's the largest crowd to see a game at Wrigley since 1978.
What are we doing to ourselves? Faithful only goes so far. This team has quit on us and we're saying, 'thats just fine'. I can just hear Ernie Banks now, "It's a great day for baseball, lets lose two".
Neifi Perez committed two errors on one play yesterday. How is that even possible? The bums refuse just refuse to win.
Am I the only Cub fan bound and determined to stay the hell away from Wrigley for the forseeable future?

Paid Attendence
I agree, Its is up to us as fans to refuse to go to games to make the cubs turn this around. Why would ownership care to build a good team they have nothing to gain bye it,The stadium is full why do they care to do anything diffrent. Any other team in Baseball would be getting booded off the feild, Not at wrigley though we still support are Cubs even if they are the worst team in baseball. I have a hard time understanding other Cubs fans support of this crap. This team stinks, They stunk before the season started, Why is it so many fans dont see what ownership does here. They sign washed up players that once had a big name and pass on any good players. The ownership is making fools out of us and as long as the stands are full we are supporting it. We as fans are the problem and always have been. It is up to us to make them build a good team. I am one Cubs fan who is sick of it.
Not me
You know of course that we broke the attendance record because Wrigley added 1,400 bleacher seats over the off-season.
Guess I'm just naive or give the benefit of the doubt, but I think the Cubs & Cubs management is trying, and hasn't quit. I will support the team winning or losing, if I feel they are giving it there best effort. Boycotting the Cubs can attempt hurt the Tribune's profit, yes and maybe encourage them not to spend 95 million on the Cubs' payroll.
I would rather you not come to the game than boo the Cubbies, for sure.
I don't know how to make the Cubs better as a fan, I guess just not showing up at the games isn't the way.
I agree Neifi should be cut, but not just for his two errors. Batting .195 is why. Of course then he hit the 9th inning 3B, which temporarily resurrected his job in my eyes.
Ownership would care because playoffs = more $$$. But yes Cubs are making a killing right now, and DLee, ARam, Madduz, Pierre, & Jones are enough for me to show that the ownership is trying. I'm one for the stupid buzz words, "constructive criticism" not just being negative.
Only coming out to Cubs when there winning, isn't that the definition of bandwagon'ing?
Faithful goes forever.
I'm with you cgalik. This is
I'm with you cgalik. This is sports. We watch for entertainment. Of course, it's more fun when your favorite team wins. But if you abandon your favorite team when they lose, you're simply not going to have the same joy that those who didn't abandom them will have when the team finally wins.
>But if you abandon your favo

Unless of course you die waiting for them to win, like tens of thousands of Cubs fans have done since 1908.
