D. Lee Alleged Doper
Recently, in the Jason Grimsley case, the Fed. Govt. made public court documents with names of baseball personnel blocked out. However, there has been rampant speculation about just who these folks are. There have been websites naming names. Here is one example. This place shows what is alleged to be a page from the actual court documents that names D. Lee of the Cubs in addition to other baseball luminaries as Derek Jeter, Brad Lidge, Albert Pujols, Jim Thome as well as former KC Royals Manager Tony Pena. The latter is significant since the Deadspin website had earlier named not only Albert Pujols but former KC Royals General Manager Allard Baird and former KC Royals Strength & Conditioning Coach Chris Mihfeld as well as Sammy Sosa as being complicit in the steroids/HGH racket. Compare the above page with the relevant blanked page from The Smoking Gun.
FWIW, the first cited link also has a mysterious statement about "Juan Pierre (AIDS)." Does this mean that Pierre has AIDS? On one hand, if true this would explain Pierre's sudden decline as a baseball player. On the other hand, if true this also brings up the question of just what did Jim Hendry know and when did he know it. Would not a player's medical info be known to a GM before he makes a decision on whether or not to acquire him?
Also, if it turns out that the first cited link is a fabrication, then the named parties should get together and sue that website out of existence.

This is interesting, but I'm
This is interesting, but I'm going to withhold promoting this blog post until more credible information arises concerning Derrek Lee and Juan Pierre, including whether the linked to affidavit is authentic.
Too much we don't know
Al Yellon at Bleed Cubbie Blue has a lot more on Deadspin's story, including information that Mihlfeld is not in the affidavit (according to Grimsley and Grimsley's attorney).
There's just too much we don't know right now. We would all be better to wait until more facts surface.
