Kerry Wood/Reliever- Will the Cubs sign him for 2007?

Kerry Wood has made the announcement that he is not having more surgery and will rehab with therapy. He has stated his goal is to come back as a reliver in Spring of 2007.
With this said, will the Cubs stick with him?

I would like to see Wood stay on as a Cub's reliever. Maybe as a life-long Cubs fan (50 years) I am following the "wait till next year" optimism, but we took a chance with Wade Miller and haven't seen anything yet. We know what Kerry Wood is capable of and in short inning relief or as a closer it could be "lights out".

What's your take on this?

They both would like to see Wood back in a Cubs' uniform next year. Me too. He's not nearly as valuable a reliever as he is a healthy starter, but he's more valuable as a healthy reliever than an injured starter.
