Hayes: BCS Could Create Big Problems This Year

With the apparent parity in college football this year and the new 12-game schedule, the Sporting News' Matt Hayes presents an interesting scenario that could expose the BCS's problems like never before:

It could be the perfect storm, complete with a boatload of one-loss teams, controversial computer numbers, bickering conference commissioners and maybe, just maybe, an unbeaten non-BCS team to throw everything completely sideways.
. . . .
"It's going to happen eventually," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says. "I can't imagine what will happen when it does."

Now imagine this: TCU wins the Mountain West Conference and is the nation's only unbeaten team on top of all those one-loss BCS schools.

The perfect storm for the perfect season.
