Coats up over Restovich and Fontenot
Does anyone have any idea what Restovich or Fontenot have done so that they did not get the call up over Coats? Fontenot is batting .296 and is a legitimate infielder. Restovich is batting .297 and is 3rd in the league with 24HR. Coats was batting .277 and does not play the infield very well. Both Fontenot and Restovich have had very productive years, but yet have not been given an opportunity to play with the big club.

COATS OVER RESTOVICH AND FONTENOT
OPS average of Restovich is hovering around 1,000 (.933), he apparently has shook off the shoddy treatment Baker gave him earlier in the year and went about having a tremendous year. The fans who said he was given an opportunity in Pittsburgh and Colorado don't know what they are talking about. he wasn't in Colorado long and in Pittsburgh, his manager thought he couldn't hit RHP. 16 of his 24 HR's have come off RHP... He hasn't done as well as he has in Triple A just batting against LHP. He just needs an opportunity. Give him some time and he always shows that he can do it. Rarely, can a person perform when he knows if he doesn't perform"now", he may be sent down to the minors before the next game. Cubs need HR's. They don't need Murton's defense and his 9 measly HR's...
Restovich hits another
Michael Restovich hit another HR last night giving him 25 on the year.
Restovich
A recent article stated that Bakers is looking for more HR's. Michael Restovich hit another HR last night giving 25 for the year one off the league lead. I am again confused as to why he has not been used this year.
Hendry
Jim Hendry is the team GM and as such all decisions on what players to move around the system are made by him. This is just further evidence of Hendry's incompetence and why if Baker leaves the Cubs at the end of the season, the Cubs will continue to wallow in the dregs of the NL Central for the next few years.
