Minor League Roundup: April 10, 2005

Iowa can't win, Daytona can't lose, and players received for Farnsworth bear fruit.

West Tennessee lost 9-6. Starting pitcher Jon Connolly allowed 3 runs in 5 innings and came up with a 6-3 lead, before the Diamon Jaxx' bullpen gave up 6 runs. Brandon Sing was the offensive star, hitting his 2nd and 3rd homers of the year. Felix Pie doubled twice and shortstop Buck Coats had 3 hits.

Daytona won 6-1. This is Daytona's third straight win to start the season. JR Mathes threw 6 shutout innings, allowing just 3 hits and a walk, and striking out 6. Catcher Tony Richie hit a three-run home run. Third baseman Scott Moore was 2-2 with a double and 2 walks.
