--Penalties: The Bears have a ridiculous 77 yards in penalties in the first half.
--Minnesota's blitzing: That's obviously their strategy against Rex Grossman and the Bears' passing attack. It's working. After Grossman started the game 6-for-7, he went 1 for his next 8. The Bears need to make some big plays in the one-on-one coverage offered by those blitzes.
--Rushing: The rushing game still can't get going. Thomas Jones has 6 carries for 14 yards. Grossman needs help in this game. The Bears' struggles running the ball are strange. Last year, they were able to run without a passing game. This year, they have a passing game, but are having trouble getting a running back beyond the defensive line.
--Brad Johnson: The Bears are holding the Vikings to 3 yards per carry, but Johnson is doing what he has historically done best: complete passes at a high percentage rate. He's 15-for-18. Thankfully, the Bears' defense has been good enough to hold the Vikings to just 6 points.
Throwing off of his back foot in his own end zone, Grossman throws an interception for a touchdown, the first touchdown of the game, giving the Vikings the lead. Just like that, the Bears went from dominating the second half to a four point deficit.
Minnesota has 3rd and 5 on its 33 with 4 and 1/2 minutes to go, up 4. Run up the middle. The Bears missed four tackles. First down and Minnesota can continue to run the clock.
