ICubs finally win, Daytona finally loses, Brownlie and Ryu throw well, and Sing and Montanez stay hot.

ICubs won 2-1. Their first win of the season. Bobby Brownlie got his first start of the year and pitched 6 innings, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and 3 walks. He also struck out 3. Will Ohman pitched another scoreless inning and Jermaine Van Buren gave up 2 hits in the 9th, but struck out 3 to earn the save. Shortstop Ronny Cedeno hit his 3rd home run of the season.

West Tennessee won 8-1 and lost 7-3 in a doubleheader, both games going 7 innings. Jae-kuk Ryu threw 5 shutout innings in the opener and Brandon Sing hit his 4th homer of the year while also drawing 2 walks. The box score for the second game is not available as of this posting.

Daytona lost 6-2, their first of the season after winning their first four. Daytona only managed 4 hits and starting pitcher Randy Wells and relievers Kris Gross and Brad Stiles gave up 2 runs apiece.

Peoria lost 6-4. Starting pitcher Chris Shaver gave up just 1 run in 5 innings, striking out 6 and walking 2. The bullpen gave up 5 runs. Leftfielder Luis Montanez was 3-4 with a double, and has started the year hitting .500. Rightfielder Bo Flowers hit his 2nd home run of the year.
