A New Cubs Fan Enters the World

A second heir to the CubsNet.com empire has been born. Meet Noah Michael Steffens, born Friday night, January 12, weighing in at 7 lbs, 2 oz. He and Mom are both doing very well. He has a left kidney problem that may ultimately prevent him from playing tackle football if it doesn't resolve itself without surgery, but won't prevent him from learning to turn a double play.
The day after his sister was born, I held her in my arms in the hospital room as we watched the Cubs beat the Braves in 15 innings.
Two days after Noah was born, we watched the Bears win their first playoff game in 13 years.
Children are truly a blessing. If only they knew what they were getting into by being born and raised to be Cubs fans.
