A video analysis of Mark Prior

Carlos Gomez looks at changes in Mark Prior's mechanics, with video, from 2001 to 2004 to 2007, at The Hardball Times. It's an interesting study. Gomez comes up with a specific suggestion for Prior.

Have they considered chiropractic care for Prior and Wood?

I'm curious if the Cubs have considered chiropractic care for Prior and Wood. I'm thinking that might be something for them to look into.

Just an idea...

Do the Cubs have a team chiropractor ?

I was at the chiropractor's office yesterday. There were two visiting chiropractors from St. Louis there. A Cardinal fan friend of mine was also in the waiting room. We started talking baseball - disagreeing on whether to call the Sept 10 game at Wrigley a "Cubs game" or a "Cardinals game".

Later I spoke with one of the visiting chiropractors from St. Louis and asked him about the St. Louis Cardinals and their use of chiropractors. It turns out that his college professor was Dr. Ralph Filson who is also the team chiropractor for the 2006 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. Small world, huh.

He mentioned that the Cardinals shortstop David Eckstein has great praise for the benefits of being treated by Dr. Filson.

Today I googled "David Eckstein + Filson" and found this webpage:

I'm curious if the Chicago Cubs have a team chiropractor.

Does anyone here know?

Thanks.
