Bears 20, Chiefs 10

I have been a big Rex Grossman believer and defender. Right now, though, my curiosity has taken control: just what would happen with Brian Griese as the starting quarterback?

Grossman was 20-34 for 160 yards (4.7 yards per attempt) today with 1 TD and 2 INTs. That follows his 12-23 for 145 yards (6.3 YPA) with 1 INT last week.

The Bears won today because of their defense and because of Devin Hester. It's a nice formula, as far as it takes you. But I am curious: is there more?

I don't think Griese would put up 7 games with a QB rating of greater than 100, as Grossman did last year, but he also might not just kill the offense, as Grossman sometimes does.

It's been just two weeks so far this season, but combined with last season, I am curious.

Grossman

Can't say I disagree. It used to be easy to point to Grossman's highs as outweighing his lows, but those highs seem to be getting less and less frequent. And Grossman really doesn't seem to be getting better with more experience, which was another thing that was easy to say in his defense.

I don't feel very strongly about getting Griese in there. It's just getting harder to defend Grossman, is all.
