Skiles Fired, Myers Lasts One Game, Boylan Now Coach for Rest of Year

"Jim Boylan was named coach of the Bulls for the rest of the season, he's hoping to improve on Scott Skiles' 9-16 turn to start the season, and a Myers-led run that didn't have a chance to begin with, and somehow still ended up even worse than it should have been," writes Yahoo! Sports' Kelly Dwyer.

I thought Skiles had done a good job to turn a mediocre team into a good one the past few years, but his substitution patterns always puzzled me.

According to Dwyer, "In a radio interview on Wednesday, Bulls GM John Paxson specifically mentioned Tyrus Thomas and Thabo Sefalosha as two players who need to get more minutes if the Bulls are going to survive this year and the next."

Good. The Bulls need bigger guards and need a low post scoring threat. If Thomas can't be the latter, the Bulls need to find someone who can.

Ben Gordon to bench in favor of Duhon

I don't have any problem with moving a shooter shooting under 39% to the bench, but replacing him with Chris Duhon? Does it really help matters to give Duhon more playing time?
