Tonight's game is on Comcast Sports Chicago PLUS and CLTV, with a pregame show starting a half hour earlier than gametime.
Note to Comcast: PLEASE place some program listings on the empty channel that carries the Comcast Sports Chicago PLUS games. (In areas that don't get CLTV). It would make it easier for fans to find the games, especially those using Tivo searches, etc.
Also as things are now, if you set up a DVR recording ahead of time for the PLUS channel, the DVR won't allow you to change that tuner channel or record anything else before the game starts. Please fix this glitch.
Let the cable box know when the game should start and finish. Thanks!

DVDs for singles
I have a Tivo and a DVD recorder. I regularly record snippets of tv news, sports reports, high scoring Cubs innings, educational tv, etc.
The DVDs are recorded in LP speed, which gets around 4 hours of recordings on them.
I've been loaning some of my homemade dvds to a friend of mine who is a single mom with 3 boys under 6 years old. She doesn't have cable tv and right now doesn't even have a tv antenna, so her tv watching is limited to VHS and DVDs.
She mentioned that watching my dvds is like having a spouse in the house with her. Someone else is controlling the tv remote, changing the channel, etc.
I thought it was a funny quote so I thought I'd share it with you.

I'd like to encourage Comcast Sports Chicago and WGN to always include a pre-game show for their Cubs games telecasts. This makes it easier for Tivo and cable pvr/dvr users to find the live game telecasts via the cable guide tv listings. I have my mom's Tivo set to record every Cubs pre-game show so that the game is tuned in every chance I can get it to do so from a distance. They don't schedule a pre-game show for every game, so they're missing potential viewers this way.
