Neifi For The All-Star Team

No one can adequately explain it, but since Neifi Perez arrived in Chicago near the end of last season, he has gone from being one of the worst hitters in big league history (with sufficient plate appearances to count) to being quite a good hitter. As a result, The Cub Reporter and Bleed Cubbie Blue have proposed a campaign to have Perez written-in as the NL starting shortstop at the All-Star Game this year.

Current NL EqA leaders at shortstop: 1) Perez: .320; 2) Omar Vizquel: .301; 3) Cesar Izturis: .287.
