Weber (Peoria) Walk-less Streak at 31 innings

Pitcher Matt Weber is displaying some Greg Maddux-like control for the Peoria Chiefs. Following last night's win, Weber's first due to poor run support, Weber has now thrown 31.1 innings without walking a batter, reports the Peoria Journal Star. On the year, Weber has a 27/3 K/BB ratio in 39 innings, with a 3.46 ERA. Weber was the Cubs' 16th round draft pick in 2003, out of high school. Last year, he had a 2.95 ERA in 76.1 innings for short-season-A Boise.
