A Reliever in Motown

Following tonight's 8th inning disaster against the Atlanta Braves, in which the Cubs entered with a 4-3 lead and exited with a 9-4 deficit, it is easy to long for a relief pitcher with these numbers:

IP H BB K HR ERA
34 26 14 44 1 2.12

The pitcher is Dr. Tightpants.  As View From the Bleachers points out, he's having a very good season in Detroit.

Detroit has a good pitching coach unlike the Cubs where the pitching coach coasts on his "reputation" with little to show for it.
