Grieve Called Up as Greenberg Goes to DL

Adam Greenberg is going to be stuck with a 1.000 career on base average for the time being. As noted by commenter diana, the Chicago Cubs announced today that they placed Greenberg on the 15-day disabled list. He suffered a concussion when he was hit in the head by the first pitch he saw as a big leaguer after his recent call-up. To take his place on the roster, the Cubs promoted Ben Grieve from triple-A Iowa. Grieve had a short stint with the big league club in late April, early May when he went 3-12 with 5 walks in 15 games. For Iowa, Grieve has hit .250/.371/.519 this year.

Good to see Ben Grieve up

I guess this makes Hollandsworth the backup CF?

Either Hollandsworth or Macia

Either Hollandsworth or Macias, I suppose ;)

And, yes, it is good to see Grieve up.

Whoops

Forgot about Macias. Would that Dusty did the same.
