What if the Cubs moved Wrigley Field?

A post on the WGN blog reminded me of this article by sports writer Mike Nadel which was published last year.

What if Tribune Co., which owns the Cubs, built a new, improved, replica Wrigley in Deerfield, Lake Forest, Highland Park or some other well-to-do Lake County suburb (or any other Chicagoland community interested in housing a big-league ballclub)?

Hmm, where would they move to? Probably a town that "sounds" right.

Kenilworth Cubs (a shorter commute for the players)

Kankakee Cubs (considering all the strike outs our pitchers get, this might be interesting.

To stay true to the city's Abe Lincoln connection, new uniform design would include a black stovepipe hat instead of a baseball cap and wearing a beard would be required of every player.
