Cubs Screw Ronnie Cedeno
The Chicago Cubs have royally screwed their rookie shortstop Ronnie Cedeno. Despite the fact that he was just as good if not even better than the likes of Neifi Perez & Nomar Garciaparra, he was alowed to start in only seven games and have 41 official At Bats in six weeks on the major league roster. Those six weeks, in addition to his previous time in the majors earlier in the year, mean that Cedeno has more than fifty days of MLB service time That being the case, he will not be able to compete for NL Rookie of the Year next season. As a result, this is his rookie year, and the Cubs have frittered it away.
And they say that the Cubs are a major league team. Sounds more like bush league.
