Tom Grieve is now the Rangers' TV color analyst, and was previously a player and GM for the Rangers as well. I believe he was the GM who traded Sosa to the White Sox, but also got Palmeiro from the Cubs to even things out a bit in the trade department.

I live in Dallas, and watch Grieve and former Cubs radio man Josh Lewin on the Rangers broadcasts on a somewhat daily basis. They actually make a pretty good team, although Lewin can be somewhat over the top at times. Not too bad, though.
