For the first time in his professional career, Felix Pie is not part of a championship team (though Pie was out with an injury for this one). Jacksonville defeated the Cubs' double-A affiliate, West Tennessee, 3-1 on Saturday to take the Southern League championship series 3 games to 1. Once again, the Diamond Jaxx failed to muster much offense. Brandon Sing had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, but that was about it. Still, it was an excellent season for West Tenn and the team contained some promising players that Cubs fans can look forward to seeing in Wrigley over the next few seasons.
