The WGN news at noon has been almost all Sox the entire hour the past two days. Today's telecast of the parade and ceremony didn't seem to bother much with commercials either. I think that was WGN's gift to Chicago.

Former Sox player is all smiles
BY PAUL AYARS THE COURIER

Chuck Lindstrom couldn't be happier today.
Lindstrom was a catcher about five years in the Chicago White Sox organization during the Sox' last World Series appearance in 1959.
While on the roster, he didn't play in the series, but still earned a 137th share, about $300.

See, I want the Cubs to play Texas in the World Series. Because then I can go.

If the Cubs are in the World Series, you'll find a way...

If the Cubs get in the World Series, I imagine that we'll all find ways to get to Chicago. Now getting tickets, that's a different challenge.

But first, let's see about spring training. :)

Funny quote from a White Sox fan

A friend of mine for 25 years or so is a White Sox fan. He's had season tickets for this team in those years when Bill Veeck owned the team and Chicago was vaguely aware that there were two MLB teams in the city.

I spoke with him the other day. He was at game two of the World Series. He had to work on Friday - the day of the White Sox parade, ceremony and celebration. He works as a courier and tried to avoid LaSalle street for most of the day since it was so crowded.

He observed the crowd while chatting with a police officer and jokingly said "You know, I'm beginning to actually dislike White Sox fans."

He also mentioned to the cop that "you know, if the Cubs had won you can add 2 million to this crowd..."

Anyway, I just thought I'd share this with you all.
