Cubs Pick Up Options on Walker, Williamson; Decline Burnitz's Option

"The Cubs announced Friday that they had picked up the options on second baseman Todd Walker and reliever Scott Williamson, but declined a mutual option on outfielder Jeromy Burnitz," reports MLB.com. Walker's option was a mutual one, and the article does not say whether Walker picked up his end of the option, but the article does say definitively that "Walker, 32, and Williamson, 29, will return for 2006."
