MLB.com reports: "[Kerry] Wood has bursitis and some inflammation in his right shoulder, and will be shut down this weekend before resuming his throwing program. Wood left Wednesday's start early because of tightness in his right shoulder, and underwent an MRI later that day to pinpoint what was wrong. He then flew to Chicago on Thursday to be examined by the team orthopedist, Dr. Stephen Gryzlo, who confirmed the earlier diagnosis."
