Cubs Blog Roundup
A look at some good writing in the Cubs Blog Army over the past week:
- Derek Smart at Cub Town thinks that the Cubs, Juan Pierre, and Carlos Zambrano are going to make each other sweat before agreeing to a pre-arbitration deal, following the release of arbitration figures this week.
- A diarist at Bleed Cubbie Blue provides an excellent recap of the "Down on the Farm" session at the 2006 Cubs Convention. (Hat tip: Rob Glowacki.) There are many updates on the Cubs' minor leaguers. Felix Pie's ankle is supposedly healthy. Chadd Blasko should be pitching again. Plus, why Richard Lewis was so awful last year and why the Cubs did not protect Andy Sisco on the 40-man roster before last year's Rule 5 draft.
- Rob Glowacki at The Cub Reporter defends Michael Barrett's defense at catcher. Or, rather, points out that his defense is not so bad as to negate his good offense.
- CubsNet.com's own diana provides some links containing information on Chicago's planned baseball museum.
- Al Yellon is the man to go to for bleacher reconstruction updates.
- Arizona Phil at The Cub Reporter presents a useful breakdown of where everyone in the Cubs' system is likely to end up after the breakup of spring camp.
