"The Daytona Cubs are expected to announce an extension of the player development contract with the Chicago Cubs," reports the Daytona Beach News-Journal. Details will not be provided until tomorrow, but the extension is apparently believed to keep the Cubs' affiliate in Daytona through the 2008 season.
