Unsure

I chose option #3. I think the Tribune Co. has given the Cubs enough money to work with through the years. But it's also possible that a dynamic owner could breathe new life into the organization.

The Cubs should stick with the Tribunce Company because they have provided the Cubs with a payroll that is always near the highest. It is the management that decides what to do with this money that has to be replaced.

Sell the cubs

Tribune company needs the money. Cubs have an extreamly high value. The cubs don't have a high payroll, and I don't think that the cubs ever really needed Tribune's money. The Cubs are a money machine for Tribune. I think it would be a good move for them to cash out now. Also ticket revenues are going to be way up, because now there is tiered pricing for games, they are getting value out of premium games, instead of letting all that cash go to the ticket brokers. They don't even need good (expensive) players to have sell out crowds, and the Tribune knows that. A new owner would be good for the cubs, because I'm sure the new owner would be a superrich cubs fan would would like to see them win the World Series (and end the world) would be willing to let the cash go. Possibly Al Quieda will buy them knowing it'll will end western civilization if they win the world series. That's why Tribune doesn't spend the money on the cubs, because if they are world series contenders the cubs will be considered a weapon of mass destruction.

Tribune doesn't spend the money on the cubs

I don't understand this statement. The Cubs are consistently one of the highest payroll teams in baseball.
