Hayes: Todd Jones for Cy Young

Yes, the same Todd Jones who has thrown all of 44.2 innings this season and done so with a 4.63 ERA. Hayes's reasoning: "He leads the majors in saves, and plays for the team (Detroit) with the best record in baseball -- and the best story in baseball."

Evaluating Zambrano's Chase for the Cy Young

He has won nine straight decisions, moving his record to 12-3. The Cubs' last Cy Young Award winner was Greg Maddux in 1992. Let's briefly look at the possibility that Zambrano will join Maddux on that list:
