Forte's 2009: 2 100-yard rushing games, both against Detroit

The Chicago Bears just finished 7-9 for the 2009 season. One reason for the disappointing season was the lack of a good offensive rushing game. As Jimmy Trombley notes, second year running back Matt Forte had just his second 100-yard rushing game of the year today. Both games were against the woeful Detroit Lions. Both performances were aided by long runs, 61 and 53 yards respectively.

The Bears have tried to improve their offense on Day 1 of the 2008 NFL draft. First left tackle Chris Williams out of Vanderbilt and then some competition for Cedric Benson at running back, with Matt Forte out of Tulane.
